If the cable on a patch cord says it's Cat5e or Cat6, this is no guarantee that it is. The cable may be up to spec but the connectors and the workmanship may not be. Many low cost leads fail when tested against the patch cord specification so ask you supplier for evidence that the leads supplied are fully tested and compliant with the specification.
