PVC or LSZH cable?

Unlike Lynx Networks, many data cabling companies install standard PVC cable as opposed to Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) because it costs less. Many customers wouldn't appreciate the difference, so the instaleler gets away with it. However, as you may know, in a fire PVC cable generates very toxic smoke and gases, unlike LSZH cable. Many building owners and insurers insist on LSZH cable for obvious reasons.

So, if one installer's quotation is cheaper than another's, it may be because a PVC cable is being specified.
