Hopefully we're all pretty savvy when it comes to spotting email scams but some of them are very cleverly worded. I had an email yesterday titled "Registration of EU Companies 2009/2010" saying "UPDATING IS FREE OF CHARGE" All I had to do to be entered in the directory was to print off the attachment, fill in some details, sign it and fax it to them.
However, in the small print it stated, "I WILL HAVE AN INSERTION INTO ITS DATA BASE FOR THREE YEARS. THE PRICE PER YEAR IS EURO 995." So that would have cost me nearly £3,000!
I believe that you would be obliged, by law, to pay up. Let's hope that no one is fooled by it.
